i have a 20 year old SS loaded 1911 in 45.i have shot it a lot.i would like to add better sights .and the barrel to bushing fit is very loose .i can take it apart with my fingers .i cant decide to have my gun smith rebuild it new barrel long link bushing.front and rear sight.then where will probably internal parts that i will wont to upgrade.for the same money i could go buy a new loaded target ..read more

In my opinion, customer service in the gun industry, generally speaking, is poor. So I though it is noteworthy and worth sharing an experience I recently had with the Custom Shop. I had accidentally marred one of the slots on a grip panel screw on an FBI model pistol. The disfigurement spoiled an otherwise perfect pistol, so I called the Custom Shop who agreed, with no displeasure and no cost to me, to send a replacement set which I received in short order. I see that the TRP Operator 10MM has a factory installed RMR and I was wondering if Trijicon makes a base for the TRP Operator in .45 with a bull barrel. That slide has two cut outs - the front one being a dovetail that the standard site is mounted in and then the rear cut out where the back portion of that site rests. The 10mm TRP Operator slide also has two cut outs but is slightly different so I don't believe its mount would work for the .45 model ..read more
