Finley after another cold snap of 25 to 35 degrees below average we have finely began to separate the Adult fish from the first drop fry. We are doing this to lesson the contamination of these fry from the time they spent in the mother pond. We will concentrate on the characteristic’s of the second drop in about 6 weeks. These are Juvenile guppies from the Tankful Guppy Farm Mother Pond. The Mother pond is were all varieties of guppies raise on the Tankful Guppy Farm are selected from. Mother Pond juvenile are like the Forest Gump box of chocolates as they grow into adults and start breeding their fry may or may not look like them. There are fry all over the Tankful Guppy Farm ponds. They loaded up in the Mother pond, and in all of the Breeder ponds. The fry are growing fast, and we have now just started to sort thru the first drop of the Breeder ponds. At this point You can start to tell the males from the females. This is the night of the full moon and the breeder pond need to have the original breeder parents moved to the new pond, and leave the first drop of (tainted) fry to grow out for a comparison to their parents and to the second drop.
