The other day I received a part that was purchased from an EBAY vendor. That part is........... SIG191127550R 1911 Ambidextrous left side thumb safety. Having been stung buying revolver parts I gave it the magnet test. It FAILED. This is a part made from pot metal !! Pot metal isn't very strong and I could see the little mating tab snapping off. Hi, I have what appears to be a very early serial # 1911. I emailed Sig and they sent me the following specs: 17-OCT-2012. It is model #1911U-45-TSS, with an item description: 1911, 45 ACP, 3.3IN, 2-TONE, BLK & STAINLESS FINISH , SAO, SIGLITE, ROSEWOOD GRIP, (2) 7RD STEEL MAG, and has a 3.3" barrel. Hey everyone, I have a newfound love for 10mm and so I am looking into some good options other than 1911s (already have one, have another on order). My Nightmare in 357Sig is an awesome accurate shooter, and have not one issue so far except... it won't lock open after the last shot. I have 6-7 Wilson Combat mags and not of them will lock the slide back. All of them will lock back when loaded with 40SW in my RIA 1911. Anyone have an explanation of a fix?
