We own a 2020 Kubota RTV-XG-850, with only 400 hours on it and it has been at the dealer 3+ months. We were just informed our engine failed and requires a complete rebuild at only 400 hours! There is a loss of compression in cylinder #1, which is causing backfiring and a loss of power. There is also excess gas in the engine oil.  We are just outside of the manufacture's warranty period, and they are serving us a nearly $5000 repair bill, with only a 90 day warranty. Howdy all, Time for the 200 hour service.  I did see that someone finally put a youtube video up.  Only thing it is missing is the spark arrester service.  Anyone know anything about that?  I did see a youtube video, not related to this one, for doing that service but it is very suspect.  I'm not a fan of beating on parts with a rubber mallet. After a few days of heavy rainfall I got in my Sidekick and noticed that the belt seemed to be slipping as I was making my way out on a large property.  I turned around and could barely make it back to my shop.  After removing the cowelling I noticed about a quart of water drained out.  I dried the area, the cover and checked the belt.  No signs of dammage, belt looks great and no foreign debris other than water in the area.  I put it back together and there was a definite improvement.  The Sidekick is driveable now but the belt still slips but only at a higher sp ..read more

Replaced the injector, now when I turn the ignition on you can hear the fuel pump like normal but when the engine turns over it seizes up, pull the spark plug out and the cylinder is full of fuel, a lot of fuel, turn the engine over with the plug out and huge amounts of fuel blows out of the plug hole.   What have I done wrong?  I appreciate your help, thank you ..read more

My 2018 XG-850-SL starter died yesterday. The old part number from Kubota is E7153-11732 which has been superceed by part # EG881-63010. I am looking for an aftermarket starter because the Kubota retail price for the starter starts at $550 and upwards toward $850.  If anyone has gone down this road before and has found an aftermarket starter ~ please share with me. I have a Kubota RTV900 that I am having issues with......it will start up, run about 10-15 seconds then die......turn the key off and wait a few minutes, and the same thing happens. I have gone through all the steps listed to bleed and prime the pump even though I did not run out of fuel....and I cracked the lines on the injector pump and watched fuel pump out as I crank it, so I am not convinced that it is a fuel injector issue......is there a relay that could be causing this? I bought a used 1140CPX at an auction.  It was listed a INOP and when it arrived it was.  It runs like a top now and I’m trying to correct the next thing on the list: Lights. Somewhere along the line, the headlight switch wiring connector was snipped off.  I only have a wire bundle leading to the hole where the headlight switch should be.  I bought a new switch and plan to just solder the wires in permanent. I recently purchased a new Kubota RTV520. When i try to start it i have to do the cold start procedure every time. Once it is running for a few minutes i can restart it without any issues. The cold start procedure is turn the key to start position and let the fuel injection system turn on and stop. Crank for 10 seconds and if the unit doesn’t start, turn off and repeat the process 30 seconds later. If it hasn’t been used for a week and i try to start it i have to repeat the cold start procedure at least 3 times until i get a successful start.  The dealer says this is normal and its not a ..read more
