With flashbacks and reminders of the trauma popping up. Today because of other health issues I felt more vulnerable to the effects of ptsd. It’s taken literally all day and some diazepam to begin to regulate myself again. It’s affected my energy levels so even walking was hard work where I normally swim for 1 to 2 miles and have more energy left over. Horrible illness ..read more

I have PTSD, obsessive compulsive disorder, abandonment issues- and MDMA therapy is illegal in my country. I am very unwell, and want to try to do DIY MDMA Therapy. In my own home, take it and try to internally work through my demons. I see a Psychologist with the local crisis metal health clinic. My Psychologist does not want me do do this and I am battling with trying to decide what to do. I can’t go on like this. Should I go against his wishes and try do do the DIY MDMA therapy? He is... My situation is super ugly. My back is "against the wall", I have had so much abuse-psychologically over 6 months, I just want to go live in the woods alone or something similar. The reality is, I must make really big changes for some relief, like travel, and I have considered heavily, relocating. I am in a state with high stalking rates, and just didn't know it. I want to date a certain guy but may have to let it go for my actual sanity. I may need to stay in a homeless shelter until I can... Read more ..read more

hi there, i’m new to the mental health forum without getting into much detail, i was sexually abused by someone i trusted in my own bedroom from the ages of 9-12. i am safe and out of this situation now, but i still feel the affects of it daily. sometimes my friends will attempt to initiate totally normal, appropriate physical contact that i would usually be okay with — but on days i think a little too hard about the molestation, i find myself shrinking away from their touch and... I know from EMDR that this is the point of therapy, but I’ve been untreated and avoiding everything for so long, memories of my ex, my ma and every bully that ever punched me out as a kid are haunting me again. I keep telling myself that, in the end, I will less under the control of others, but I keep having to remind myself, there are things that we cannot control. That’s hard for me. Can anyone relate/suggest an exercise to help with this? My therapist is on vacation ..read more
