Max Verstappen wins the Italian Grand Prix breaking the hearts of the thousands of Tifosi fans in attendance. Verstappen was just untouchable throughout the race. Despite Leclerc taking pole and Verstappen having engine penalties there was just nothing Ferrari could do about it. To be fair to Ferrari, there was nothing they could do about it and were spot on with their strategy. We are now at the point of the season where Verstappen can wrap up the title next race in Singapore! source: F1.com Though obviously that would require failures for other people and a perfect weekend for Verstappen. F1 is back in Italy and this time it’s the temple of speed, Monza! Max Verstappen leads the championship with nearly 100-point buffer to those following him and appears a dead cert to get the second championship now. source: FIA Historically, Monza with its high speed, low downforce requirements hasn’t been a Red Bull strong track. However, this year they’ve flipped their car and now it loves the higher speed tracks and isn’t as strong on the twisty bits. That means its generally agreed that this track is going to be another Verstappen win. Something the Ferrari fans, The Tifosi, are not goin ..read more

Dutch Grand Prix – Super Max or Lord Max?

Max Verstappen wins the Dutch Grand Prix for the second year running despite a very strong performance for Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton. Coming into the weekend we all expected a stronger showing from Ferrari after the domination by Red Bull last week in Spa. However, despite the track supposedly suiting Ferrari more it just didn’t happen. An overall lack of pace will only be overlooked because of more Ferrari mistakes! The orange army was out in force and they saw their man take pole and win the race. Luckily after qualifying we didn’t see the same quantity of orange flares in the race and so ..read more

F1 returns to the home of Verstappen with him flying high at the top of the championship and blowing everyone else away. Last time out in Spa, Verstappen took one of the most dominant victories I have ever seen in F1. Starting in fourteenth place he took the lead before half race distance and went on to win by nearly 20 seconds! Last year Zandvoort was one of Verstappen’s most crushing victories, though it’s unlikely to happen this time around. Ferrari will be looking to bounce back after a week they were well beaten, though they didn’t exactly help themselves. source: FIA As we’re in the mid ..read more

Belgium Grand Prix – Engine Penalty? No Problem!

Max Verstappen wins the Belgium Grand Prix despite a back of the grid penalty! In what has to be the most dominant victory of the year, Verstappen wins after starting a net thirteenth place. Not only did Max win, he won with a 20 second gap and took the lead of the race before half of the race had even been run. source: FIA The latter end of the race was not the most interesting, but the start of the race was one of the best I have seen so far this year. Plenty of talking points for the race but also not much else anyone could do about the Red Bull pace in Max’s hands. Qualifying The story of ..read more

F1 is back after its summer break with 9 races left to go in 13 weekends. This weekend we’re at Spa for what could be its last race for a while. Verstappen comes here with a huge points lead thanks to fantastic results like last time out in Hungary. However, his life has been made a lot easier with Ferrari strategy errors and Leclerc’s occasional driver error. source: FIA Mercedes have now had back-to-back double podiums and are hoping the technical regulation tweaks will be to their benefit, putting them back into the fight for regular race wins. News As expected, the summer break was not ex ..read more

The final races of the season, the final races of the Gen2 era and Vandoorne finally puts 2021 to rest! source: FIA Formula E came to Seoul with only 2 protagonists really in the title fight. Vandoorne leading in the standings with a 36 point lead over Mitch Evans. In 2021 Vandoorne was possibly the best driver over the year but bad luck and bad driving (by others) meant he was never in the title fight. This year Vandoorne might have only won 1 race but he had continued to get the best he could each weekend and was leading the standings. Vandoorne managed to take that first title and complete ..read more

Hungarian Grand Prix – Ferrari’s F**ked It!

What else can we say but Ferrari have basically just handed Verstappen and Red Bull the F1 titles neatly wrapped up with a bow on it! To be fair that’s a little harsh but Ferrari have thrown away a fantastic opportunity to punish Red Bull for a qualifying mistake. They boxed themselves into a situation and weren’t brave enough to get themselves out of it. source: FIA Verstappen has won the Hungarian Grand Prix after starting tenth as Mercedes earn themselves another double podium and a pole position. George Russell took his first ever pole position on Saturday in a session where the Mercedes ..read more

London E-Prix – Round 14 – London Pays Vandoorne Big

Stoffel Vandoorne took a massive step to winning the Formula E title and now effectively has one hand on the trophy with only two rounds left. Vandoorne was hugely unlucky last year when he was torpedoed out of the lead of the race. Ending what looked like a very comfortable victory and effectively ending his slim title challenge. However, this year London has decided to pay ‘Formula E’s unluckiest driver’ back big time. Yesterday he had a strong showing compared to his rivals and today he got even more luck as others fell around him. Though some tensions have started to rise in Mercedes. sou ..read more

W Series – Alice Powell Returns To The Top

W Series comes to Budapest for the second year running with Jamie Chadwick dominating the championship and a race she dominated last year. I watched her live last year here as she just pulled away from the rest of the grid and dominated the field to win. This year, Chadwick has been nothing short of dominant so far. Winning every race and having the maximum number of points possible. Coming here, how could anyone see anything but Chadwick winning again? I have to admit I certainly didn’t but no one told Alice Powell. The title challenger from last year who has had some awful luck so far is bac ..read more
