Hello,I was just diagnosed with SIBO through a breath test. I have had a severe amount of weight loss over the course of three years. (normally 140lbs, currently at 95lbs). My nutrient test levels have came back looking almost completely normal. I am just a little bit puzzled with this, and was wondering if anyone has comments. Thanks,Evan ..read more

It is good to follow a set routine if you have Bipolar Disorder and IBS.
My routine is I wake up at 4.30am, drink a glass of warm water, then a cup of hot tea to invigorate my bowels.
I have bm by 6.30am. Then I go for a walk for an hour.
Then get ready for work by 10am
I come home by 5pm, watch news and sports on tv.
Have dinner at 8 pm. Go to sleep by 9 pm.

Since last couple of days I am unable to empty my bowels completely even though I am eating veg fiber rich foods. I know incomplete evacuation is one of the symptoms of IBS. But still I am unable to fathom this problem. i have stopped seeing my GI doc 2 years back as he is not helpful. Currently I am taking 4 packets of movicol osmotic laxative. If I take more I get semi solid stools, not firm. Comments welcome ..read more

As mentioned in my previous posts I have IBS-C and Bipolar Disorder.
My psych put me new med - cariprazine in Dec 2022. This med known as Vraylar in USA.
This med is working very well.
I don't have depression, mania, anxiety, panic attacks, suicidal thoughts.
All previous meds failed to tackle my bipolar depression.
Alleviation of bipolar depression in turn has helped my IBS-C.
My next appointment with my doc is in June ..read more

"During the pandemic, about 4 in 10 adults in the U.S. have reported symptoms of anxiety or depressive disorder, a share that has been largely consistent, up from one in ten adults who reported these symptoms from January to June 2019 (Figure 1). A KFF Health Tracking Poll from July 2020 also found that many adults are reporting specific negative impacts on their mental health and well-being, such as difficulty sleeping (36%) or eating (32%), increases in alcohol consumption or substance use...
