ATK Wooden Go Kart Buying Guide

Go Kart Buying Guide   If you are aged over 35 years, there is a strong chance you had a homemade wooden go kart, when you were a child. I remember building one with my father from old scraps of timber and some wheels we took off a battered baby’s pram. I recall we had to build one because buying one was way out of our budget. However, I'm sure Joseph would have created a fantastic box kart when using one of our ATK Go Karts Kits ..read more

In simple terms it's a wheel fitted with a proper canvas re-inforced rubber tyre (similar to the ones fitted to your car) but, instead of having an inflatable inner tube, it has a high-density foam insert:  So why are we doing this?  Because it gives you all of the advantages of a pnuematic tyre wheel with none of the hassles of keeping it blown up or dealing with punctures.  But don't confuse these wheels with the wheels on a lot of buggies.  They are ..read more
