Hi Recently found out that i'm type 2 diabetic and lifestyle changes need to be made. Just wondering if there any UK based peeps who have used any meal prep companies to help them along their journey to get their life back on track and get a grip of their diabetes? The biggest problem for me at the minute is working long hours and also not being a good cook. Thanks for any help/tips submitted by /u/toonhughes [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hi there ! I logged my blood sugar level on my first and second week of t2 on management track. Around 150-200 carbs a day, about 10k steps a day and on slow release metformin 500 every morning. I like to see how the reading have stabilized on week 2! I typically test first thing in the morning, sometime before /after diner and at bed time. submitted by /u/Confident_Hamster790 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

How High Should you Spike

My fasting bgl is mid 90s. My bgl two hours after a meal is mid 80s. Consistently. I’m not on any meds. Yesterday I indulged a little and ate 75g carbs in one meal. Here’s how my readings went: One hour after I was 111. two hours was 93, to which I stayed around this level until five hours later, I was back down to 85. My question is, what would normal readings for a non diabetic for this amount of carbs? Would a non diabetic not even hit 100? Trying to figure this all out thanks! submitted by /u/Jafranci715 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Hi!! I’m newly diagnosed and wake up with readings of around 113-115 every morning. Any tips on how to get this down to the <100 range? Edit to add: I’m intermittent fasting 16:8 and have gone low carb (less than 50g a day and only carbs coming from veggies, nuts, etc. - nothing processed or sugared up). Thank u! submitted by /u/Entire-Ice5238 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

So no clue how it started coming up, but I've been getting lots of ads lately for various Mushroom Coffee brands, all claiming that they have an effect to lower and/or control/maintain blood sugar levels. Has anyone else heard of this? or have experience with this? I'm doing searches on my own, but would also appreciate if anyone has some studies that either confirm or deny this. submitted by /u/Vorrt [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
