After a month of fundraising, the Lancaster Archery Foundation reached its goal of gathering $100,000 in donations to its charitable efforts during September. The time to register for the 2023 Lancaster Archery Classic is now! Registration is open for the East Coast’s largest indoor archery tournament, scheduled for Jan. 26-29, 2023, at the Spooky Nook Sports Complex in Manheim, Pa.   The Classic came back strong this year after a one-year hiatus, and the 2023 tournament is expected to draw more than 2,000 archers from all over the world. In recognition of the 100th anniversary of Easton Archery, Easton Foundations has issued a special challenge to Lancaster Archery Foundation for fundraising during the month of September, 2022. The Easton Foundations will match every donation made to the Lancaster Archery Foundation up to a maximum of $100,000. Donations can be made to the Lancaster foundation in a few ways. Target archers who plan to get serious about 3-D archery should consider adding a ballistic chronograph to their arsenal of personal archery tools. A ballistic chronograph is an instrument used to measure the velocity of a projectile in flight. For archery, it’s used to clock arrow speeds. Three-D archery is a game where there are lots of speed restrictions. Archery Shooters Association (ASA), for example limits Open Pro, Known Pro and Senior to 290 feet per second and Women’s Pro to 280 feet per second.
