I’m a 14 year old RHP. I can throw mid-high 70’s with an occasional 81 mph. I can throw a 4-seam, 2-seam/sinker, cutter, slider, curveball, circle and vulcan changeup. Is there any pitches that I should learn how to throw?

Hello
My 16 year old son pitches, catches, and plays outfield. Recently, my catcher caught a bullpen but caught one pitch awkwardly and broke his middle finger nail. It might come completely off. He has high school tryouts next week. Will he be ready to go if all of his fingernail is gone?

Hello,
My name is Keegan Croucher, I just turned 14 in January. I’m 6’2 160 and still growing. My fastball is 83 and my breaking ball is 75. My pitching Coach is Coach Dennis Healy. I work with him in the off season. Should I reach out to colleges?

Most youth programs have their rest periods. The most common being 4 days rest. But I’ve heard a large number of people, some current and former MLB pitchers say it’s ok to pitch every day.
My son is 11, I’m thinking playing it safe is the way to go. But i would love to hear what other people think.
To clarify, I’m talking about bullpens in the off season.

Hey all, found your forum recently and i am getting into baseball because of my son. He fell in love with the game and i would love to hear your opinion on equipment. So far i’ve been using (https://www.greatrex.com.au/balls/baseballs/) these baseballs and bats and they are pretty good.
What do you all think. Looking forward hearing from you. And if you are in the Adelaide area that would be awesome aswell.

I’m looking for ideas for what people think is the best baseball bat for an 11 (turning 12) year old? What has the best pop? What are the top kids in the nation using?

My son is 16u LHP 6’2" 165 lbs. His FB and change-up are consistently only 2-3 MPH difference. The CU is considered his best pitch by most that see it (75-76 MPH). 4 seam FB sits 78-79 MPH. He’s thrown the FB at 83 max in BP session a few months ago. Pulldown is at 91 MPH. He’s tried gripping fastball more w/ fingers but same 78-79 velocity. Any ideas on why he’s not getting more separation between FB and CU? Thanks,
RG

My son is a senior at a D3 school who will have 2 years eligibility remaining after this year (neither 2020 or 2021 counted due to COVID even though had full conference only season in 2021). His D3 conference is pretty good baseball. My son has been the game 1 starter since his sophomore year. He was voted by the coaches conference pitcher of the year his sophomore year and was all south region that same year. He had a good junior year, but had a couple rough outings in his junior year but still had 10 quality starts out of 13 outings. He has four pitches, FB, curveball, slider and changeup. H ..read more
