I bought my kids the Oculus Quest 2 this past Christmas as a gift and at the moment, I have not purchased anything else other than games for the headset. We are looking into the best head strap with a battery to go for at the moment and the Elite Strap with battery seems to be the one crying out to me at the moment.  When it comes to a head strap and battery, what would you recommend for the Oculus Quest 2?  ..read more

HappyFunland

HappyFunland is a new Horror themed VR game for PSVR 2 and PCVR where you explore an abandoned theme park. To me it looks like an extended theme park ride with puzzle solving and some combat tacked on, but in VR. You can clearly see the Disney inspirations here, especially with the fact that the theme park has a mouse named Randy Rodent as their mascot, similar to Mickey Mouse and Disney.  This game looks to be more comedic than scary though, so it should be more of a fun ride than a scary trip. Also, I'm hearing it it's a short game, like 3 hours.    ..read more

A new parkour style video game is coming out for the PS VR2, called STRIDE: Fates. It first released for the Metal Quest 2 & 3, but will be coming out on the PS VR2 next. There's currently no official release date was mentioned, but if you want to get your hands on it now, the Meta Quest would be your best bet. I assume 2024 it will release though, if not early 2025. You can view the trailer below. The gameplay looks pretty fast and smooth, so this should be a fun world to play in.  ..read more

Anyone here play Undead Citadel yet? It's a VR game available on Steam right now and is supposed to be coming out on the Meta Quest 2/3. There is also said to be a version coming out for the PSVR 2. The gameplay looks pretty badass, having to combat a bunch of undead enemies. You can use a mix of weapons from swords, knives, bows and more. I'm saving up for a Meta Quest 3, so this is definitely going on my watchlist.    ..read more

Meta Quest has their own Game Pass style service?

I had no idea Meta Quest has their own game pass style service simply called Meta Quest+. I guess if you sign up, you can get two free games a month, which can be kept until your subscription is up. The service is only $7.99 a month, or $59.99 annually if you want to save a few bucks. And hey, if you're new, you can get a free month when signing up.  There is some news to share though. Meta Quest+ will now include a Games catalog to select from instead of just the two free games every month. This catalog so far will feature 12 games on March 1st, those games being:  The Climb Demeo ..read more

Worth buying any of the older VR headsets?

I've been seeing a lot of older VR headsets on Facebook marketplace as of late, going for around $100-$150, for stuff like older Oculus Rift models, before it became the Meta Quest we know it today. I assume a lot of these older VR headsets still work great, but are limited in what they can play. Would it be worth getting something like the Oculus Rift S, which I saw on FB marketplace for around $150 or so. Should I save up for a Meta Quest 3 or pick up one of these older models instead? I'm kind of tempted to pick up one just to see if it's on par with the Quest 2 or 3 even. If it's not worth ..read more

Beat Saber - Good for a workout?

I am going to get myself a Meta Quest 3 soon, currently saving up what I can to pick one up, and I am thinking about trying Beat Saber on it to sort of help me lose weight. I've seen this game in action and it looks like a decent workout. And I need to get back into working out and I think playing a VR game like Beat Saber would be a good start.  Who here has played it and consider it a decent workout tool? Do you know other games similar to beat saber that could be useful for workout needs?  ..read more

Wanderer: The Fragments of Fate - Coming to PS VR2

Has anyone here played Wanderer for any VR headset? It's been out on Steam for a couple years now, and I hear it's coming out for PS VR2 June 27th. The game looks like a lot of fun, you can travel in time with a special watch, that puts you in the body of a random person each time. You can collect weapons and items from these timelines and utilize them throughout other times. Like using a fancy new gun during a WWII battle. Or using a squirt gun filled with gasoline to light up Nazi's.    ..read more

Should PlayStation VR 2 support PC gaming?

I found this article here - https://xrsource.net/5764/does-psvr-2-need-pc-support/ It asks Does PSVR 2 Need PC Support? I think it would be awesome if they would make it work for PC. I'm sure modders out there have figured out ways of making the first PSVR work with PC and probably figured it out with PSVR 2 as well. I doubt it would be hard for Sony to make it work for PC, but does Sony need to? I don't think they need to considering their games sell better on PlayStation hardware anyway. They don't really need to sell or support PC if they don't want to. But, I still would love to ..read more

I wish I had a PS VR or a VR headset period. This looks like a lot of fun, kind of reminds me of Mirror's Edge, but in VR. Speaking of, they should make a Mirror's Edge VR game if they haven't already. Anyway, back to the subject. This game is releasing for the PS VR2, but there is currently no release date. Though you can wish-list it on the PlayStation store here - https://store.playstation.com/en-us/concept/10008454 ..read more
