Hey guys new to the group but not to ARs. I have a pre-ban SGW (OLY Arms) CAR-AR. New BCG, new buffer spring and weight. Cleaned through pretty good and a new pmag as well as some old Colt mags, it’s failing to eject the casing or it’ll stove pipe out of the chamber. Ran out of ideas and what to check. Any suggestions? I'm a newbie from northern Indiana and I've been around guns most of my life, I will be 68 this summer and have quite a bit of experience with everything except an AR. Hey everyone, so my safety selector functions but is really hard to move. And it definitely doesnt click. Pull grip off, spring, and detent and selector is a litte looser but wont fall out of its hole. Now if I take a punch and run the pin out of the trigger and leave the punch in the hole the selector frees up and can be removed. Everything is mil spec and functions fine except the tight safety selector. There are no burrs on it or in the hole ..read more

I have been wanting a Daniel Defense for a while but cant spend 2K plus for a full rifle and $1200 for a upper seems a bit much. I noticed MidwayUSA has a new V7 stripped upper that looks like a good place to start. I plan to get a Suppressor wouldn't it make sense to save the money on a flash hider I ultimately wont even use for one from a brand I can mount a can with? Thoughts on a charging handle and BCG to round out the upper to be cost effective ..read more
