The 2023-2024 Speed Skating Season is quickly approaching. Our season runs from Sunday September 10, 2023 until Thursday March 28, 2024. We are currently working out the details of the registration process and will provide an update as soon as possible. Save the date for the Registration and Skate fitting party on Saturday September 9, 2023. Never skated before? 13th Annual Registration Pizza Party & Skate Fitting is happening on Saturday September 10th! Come join us at 11 Hilltop Place in Dundas. You can park at Sanctuary Park Lot, and walk down the trail. Enter the back of the property at trail marker #3. Returning and new skaters and their family members are welcome! New skaters should arrive at 4:00 p.m. Returning senior skaters are asked to arrive at 2:30 p.m. with their skates from last season. Things to remember: Dress accordingly ; we will be outside. The Hamilton Speed Skating and Golden Horseshoe Speed Skating clubs offer an opportunity to participate in the exciting sport speed skating. Our youth oriented program currently operates out of the Chedoke Arena in Hamilton, Ontario. The club is offering a “Try Speed Skating” package to interested youth following the Olympics. Your speed skating community has worked with the City of Hamilton to co-ordinate skating starting in October 2021. Skating for the 2021-2022 season will begin on Wednesday October 6th or Thursday October 7th, depending on your registration.
