On Sunday, October 8th, 2023, the Lancaster Community Library hosted their first ever Lancaster Comic Con and Truthful Comics was in attendance! I have to be honest, whenever there's a new event like this one, especially if it's in a remote area there's a high probability that attendance will be low and sales will be few and far in between; I'm here to tell you this was NOT THE CASE for this Comic Con!   We loved everything  about this convention, from the organization to the events to the decorations to the contests; everything was well thought out and superbly execu ..read more

Saturday, September 30th was an eventful day because not only  was I a guest at The Secret Lair's first ever Mini-Con in Harrisonburg, Virginia; but we also launched our second Kickstarter for The Avandrus Theory! It's always an adventure when you as an indie comic book creator venture out into unfamiliar territory, but like with any adventure;  it's always exciting.     As always. getting to spend time with the Cory, Leighton and Brian is an absolute joy, but to top it off we met two amazing individuals that we're sharing the space with us: Gannon Beck an ..read more

On August 22nd, 2023 we had we had the privilege to visit St. Mary's Home and volunteer for a few hours. It was an amazing experience spending time with the kids, not only did we give them the comic books we brought for them but we actually spent time with them, playing with them. getting to know them and we even wrestle for a bit (don't worry, The Dominator took it easy on us :D! ). On top of that my brother Chauncey Dickens, host of the Do Your Speak Geek Podcast; along with his boy Dono came out to help us. The staff were really pleased with us and invited us to come back which made the day ..read more

On Wednesday, September 13th, I sat down for a reunion of sorts that I'd like to share with you all. In 2021, myself alongside Shane "Dodgy" Tydeman and Paul Gomez were recording not one, but two indie comics centric podcasts and we had a blast doing so. There was Sunder Katz and there was Think Indie. I truly miss those days we sat down for a few hours and just talked comic books. Fast forward to 2023 and Paul Gomez now has his own podcast and YouTube channel where he talks about current events and he also chats with interesting people; including indie creators. That's where I come into the f ..read more

As of today we officially have a Buy Indie Comics Day mailing list! Why is this a big deal? Throughout the years we've been able to reach our audience but they either forget about BICD until the day of the (event or the day after) or they forget altogether. We believe it's because we're not in the public's eye like, let's say Free Comics Book Day nor we have the financial backing of FCBD; but what we lack financially we make up for heart and enthusiasm. But we can't do this on our own, trust me we've tried. Hence we've created a newsletter, not only to inform all of you about any ..read more

Free Comic Book Day @ Zeno's Books

I know it's been one month since Free Comic Book Day but as you know life gets in the way and here we are. I have to say this was, by far; the best Free Comic Book Day I've ever been a part of as a fan or as a professional comic book artist. The venue was great (it's my local comic book shop!), the staff was attentive, kind and on point with everything, there was a nice flow of people coming in and out of the shop without it getting too overwhelming and it was just a fun day. Did I mention they had free cake for anyone in attendance? Well they did!     Besides myself the ..read more
