Helicopter pleasure flight company Adventure 001 have made a further £50,000 donation to Cornwall Air Ambulance. The funds were raised through the 2023 event programme, thanks to the hard work and efforts from everyone in the team. Having supported the charity for many years, this brings Adventure 001’s total donation to Cornwall Air Ambulance to an incredible £350,000. A schoolgirl has written a song to raise awareness of Cornwall Air Ambulance after the charity’s paramedics saved her mum’s life multiple times. Isla, now aged nine, became inspired by the charity’s work following a number of lifesaving interventions to help mum Carrie. She has not only raised over £5,000 for Cornwall Air Ambulance since but also wrote and put words to the beautiful song ‘Flying High’. Former patient leaves gift in Will after she and her husband were airlifted

A former patient from the Isles of Scilly has very kindly left a gift in her Will to Cornwall Air Ambulance after both she and her husband were airlifted. Ursula Schweer, known as Usch, chose to leave a lasting legacy to your charity after sadly passing away. Neighbour and friend, Mark Praeger, was the Executor to her Will. Cornwall Air Ambulance is pleased to welcome Captain Pete McCormick to the aircrew. Pete has had an impressive and varied career as a helicopter pilot, first joining the Royal Navy in 1996. He was based at RNAS Culdrose within the 814 then 820 squadrons, spent three years on an exchange job in Canada, then returned to 771 Naval Air Squadron Search & Rescue. An exclusive black-tie 007 Heli Dinner, organised by charity Ambassador Dr Karen J Dickens, has raised an incredible £105,000 to help fund future Cornwall Air Ambulance missions.
