We congratulate our Patron Sir Terry Waite KCMG CBE who was recently knighted in HM the King’s birthday honours. Speaking to PA News Agency, Sir Terry said: “It really is a big surprise. I had no idea that this was coming up.” The award recognises his charitable work, including years of work negotiating the release of hostages, and the heavy price he paid through his 1,763 days of captivity in Lebanon.
