Another GEM from Alund's collection that he is assisting in selling...this is a 1988 Jackson Soloist, top mount Floyd with an 80s artist graphic(this is a unique thing in itself..I always thought you couldn't order an artist graphic during the 80s). Comes with a J90 Alnico bridge pickup, and a J50 in the neck. The J90 has a brightness and clarity that I've never experienced before, kinda reminiscent of a Mighty Mite 1400 but even better.

Good afternoon. For sale is a Splawn Nitro SS 50w amp head. It's basically brand new. I ordered it last year. I've played it maybe 3 times, so there are very low hours on the tubes. I had got a Gibson Les Paul Studio about a year or so ago and n3ver could gel with it. It was a special edition in 24 frets and never meshed with it. I went to a guitar store and loved this guitar and so I traded and added a bit of dough.
It is a 1979 "The Paul" with the original case and a Super Distortion in the bridge. Plays great, lighter, sounds great, and just needs a coaster to look like a coffee table ..read more

Simple question, really. What's your preference?
Most of us here (including me) are high gain guys who probably spend the majority of the time on the bridge pickup. But every now and then, we'll swap over to the other end of the guitar and get down that way. Based on the kinds of guitars most often being made for high gain, it might be assumed that most of us generally go for humbucker tones when we switch away from the bridge, but I'm not so sure.
