Filling 16oz bottles from a gallon jug?

I probably should know the answer to this question but here it is anyway. When trying to refill my Wheel & Tire cleaner 16 oz bottle, with a new full gallon jug, how can you pour it in correctly and not make a mess? I have the thread on bottle funnel, but man that full gallon of W&T cleaner just doesn't seem to pour well and not run down the side of the jug! It's certainly not as viscous as other Adams products but it seems to pour the worst of anything I've got. Almost like the gallon jug needs a type of spout attachment? Does anyone have any thoughts/ideas here? Thanks ..read more

The goal of this thread is to consolidate answers to the inevitable question: "How long does 'product X' last?" Given that caveats galore definitely exist, including driving conditions, how the vehicle is stored, etc., please feel free to post those, too. The more products listed here, the better...let's try to get them all! ************ I'll start with what I have learned/experienced. Paint Sealant: at least 6 months Glass Sealant: 200 miles of rain driving, using wipers; one full tank of windshield washer fluid HGG: 1-2 months Patriot Wax: 1-3 months; garage queens will s ..read more

What to use on a Convertible top ?

Hi Everyone I just joined the Adams Forum. I have been using Adam's products for 5 years and really like them. I do not use anything else. I am not a professional detailer.  I had a friend ask me to detail his car. He has a Black Convertible top with a white car. He has not used anything on the top other than soap and water. He was afraid to use anything. I cleaned it with Adams Waterless Wash then I used the Adams Graphene Detail spray. It really looked great. My friend was impressed.   My question is, what do you all think would be the correct product to use on Convertible tops? &n ..read more

Difficult wheel cleaning

I have used only Adams products since I first met him at the OC swap meet in ca 20+ years ago. I love the products and the forum has been my “I’m stuck” go to for years, but now I am totally stuck and it seems like something simple but it’s fighting with me! I’m cleaning the rim in back behind a deep wheel. Usually my go to is Tire and Wheel, that didn’t touch it. Neither did these: wheel cleaner, all purpose, eco, I even tried good old dish soap. No matter what I use it looks ok while wet but then drys and is back to looking like brown dried on brake dust. It doesn’t even budge with the rubbe ..read more

Gel Coat Pores

I read that Gel Coat is a harder surface than paints & clear coat, so much tougher to correct. OK - I'll have to use a more aggressive compound and just work harder than most of the surfaces on cars.     Also from what I read once oxides & scratches have been cut/corrected/polished the Gel Coat will be nice and smooth but is a more porous surface than painted surfaces. If I were to proceed with Adam's Graphene coating on this porous material what should I expect? Will it 'sink' into the pores? Will it level properly? How about on vertical surfaces?      ..read more

Visible high spots in certain lighting

Hi All,   I am new to the forum. I ceramic coated my car myself with Adams Advanced Graphene ceramic coating 2 weeks ago. It was the first time I ever did this - took me 2 full days to do it from washing, claying, buffing, wiping to coating. The outcome was overall satisfying but after 4-5 days I started noticing the hood shows high spots at quite some places especially in low light situations (before sunset time). In bright sunshine its barely visible. I wanted to know if this is expected to show after few days and what are my options of fixing this - reapplying will fix it or will I nee ..read more

This week, I purchased a 2024 GMC Sierra SLT 1500 and in in doing so, I had the dealer put on 9H Ceramic protection on it.  My question is, what do I use to maintain the finish down the road?  Would the Graphene Ceramic Spray Coating be the product later?  Any ideas or suggestions on the optimal care products I should get from Adam's?  Thank you very much in advance ..read more

In the old days I had a small tote full of new Adams spray nozzles because they would last a long time and I did not always replace them.  I have ran out of stock and I am having issues with almost all the latest generation of nozzles I have got from Adams. Broken, clogging, leaking, etc.   Does anyone have a link for good quality spray nozzles that will fit the 16 oz bottles ..read more
