My project has been sitting in the back burner for 5plus years. It was painted black with clear. Now I started assembling it (finally...) and would like to clean it a little bit, it is very dusty and dirty after sitting in not so ideal warehouse.
I would probably wash the exterior with water and soap after all the weatherstrips and glass are installed.
The question is that how would you clean the gloss black dash and other parts which you don't want to get wet? I really dont want to...

My project 57 sat inside a body shop since 1986. During this time the owner had the bumpers re chromed. During all these years the bumpers got a light dusting of paint overspray from other cars being painted.
Can I use a mild paint stripper like citri strip to remove the overspray from the otherwise nice bumpers?
Thanks for your time,

I ordered a car cover for my 57. The company said they guarantee a custom fit. Not
First there was no label indicating front or rear.
There was no pockets for the fins so the cover just wanted to bridge between the two tail fins.
The cover would not fit under the front bumper and rear bumper at the same time.
So I'm looking for a cover with rain protection and cut to fit a 57's fins.
Any recomendations ..read more
