Almost from day one i've had at least one fox consistently walking up over the bonnet of my X2, and yes on occasion there's been feces left there, and with all these damp days it's leaving a heck of a mess! I picked up an approved used X1 in white last Tuesday. Protect X was offered for £95 which included a car care kit. It was sold as a ceramic coating which I have since learnt that it is not and there was no car kit available any more. Still, my understanding was that it should give good water beading and paint protection for life. Here are some pictures of my bonnet and roof. This isn’t anything like what I was expecting. Picked up our used M240i from BMW just 5 weeks ago and after all the rain we've had lately looks like they'd treated the roof with something that has now worn off, revealing these white stains.
