Hi All,
I recently bought a set of cloth Recaro SR3 for my gti.
When one of my buddies saw them, he said that I should put a protective coat on it. Apparently there's a ceramic coating for interior cloth pieces. Is this true or is he just pulling my leg ..read more

Hi.
Is there a place to learn the very basic, very introductory things about taking care of a car's exterior?
I've found some VW Vortex how-to and FAQs but they dive into a lot of details really quick.

Hi.
Would any one have advice on getting a sticker off of the driver's side window (interior side of the glass)?

Thank you,

There are two detail shops near me, offering similar services, but for much different prices. Just wanted some input on whether I should be wary of the cheaper solution, or if the other option is just priced very high.

-Interior Detail $400
-Two Stage Paint Correction $1,200
-Ceramic Coating $1,200 - Using...

Anyway, I suffered the consequences and my new-to-me GTI now is covered with silver truck paint. I thought it was dust on the glass and paint [after washing] but no, it is paint.
What do I do to get this stuff off? I just waxed and Sonax ceramic spray shielded...

So I’m very satisfied with my Protex Xpel clear bra that was installed on my Mazda3 almost 10 years ago. Held up extremely well and still does to this day. No embrittlement, no yellowing. But pretty expensive.
I want to cut the price down for my next installation and do it myself, but Protex won’t sell me the precut sheets. They’ll only do it if they install it. I guess I sorta understand; without a warranty, they can’t control the quality of their product if installation is poorly done, I...
