I've a new to me car and considering paint protection. I've done a Gyeon product five years ago and was somewhat underwhelmed. The prep, even on a brand new vehicle, was very time consuming to be done well. Initially I was very impressed with the product and I still have no questions around the initial result following the application. It's great, easier to clean, stayed clean longer...no doubt. I wasn't that impressed with the appearance, more of a shine than depth. That application lasted 2-3 years despite a few maintenance coats of 'sealant booster' or something named similar that was mat ..read more

Just purchased this car and it has shiny spots in the Matte paint. Does anybody know what these could be from, if they are fixable, or need to repaint? If the dealer repaint, follow up question would be do you think it is worth it to go through that process or would you just leave it? Hey guys I just picked up a 2012 S550 with 19 in AMG wheels and I can't for the life of me find anything to clean in between the spokes....it is very narrow...I'm talking about 3/8 of an inch your pinky will not even fit in between. I have purchased every brush known to mankind including the extra small wheel wooly and the barrell blade ...nothing will fit in there. I've even tried some soft and stiff lug nut brushes but it just doesn't get the job done in between the spokes. Any advice would be greatly appreciated ..read more

Film on 2019 S65 AMG Dash Display

I've got a 2019 S65 AMG that's got about 15500 miles on it. There is some type of dirt/film on the dash display. I've tried cleaning it with Stoner's glass cleaner, with a glass polish and with Gerlitz. Nothing seems to take this film off. It's not film as in PPF or some type of covering, it's some type of gunk. You can't see it when you look at the screen directly or if it's in bright sunlight but if you look at an angle or in the right light, it's pretty clear that there's something on it. Anyone have any idea what this might be and what I might user to clean it off? Thanks in advance for th ..read more

V167 Leather Seats - Cleaning, Conditioning?

I have a 2021 GLE450 with leather seats. My understanding is that newer vehicles have leather with a light coating on the surface, ie: it is not raw leather. I put a drop of water on the seat, it beads and sits there, does not get absorbed into the seat. I scratch the leather with my fingernail, no change in color. Can anyone confirm that these seats are indeed "coated"? If the vehicle does indeed have a "coated" leather, is there any use for conditioning of the seats? Or just wipe them down once in a while with damp microfiber (+/- drop of soap if actually cleaning up a mess), and then prot ..read more

How do you deal with rock chips- Paint recommendations

Seems this year was bad for getting rock chips and door dings all over my car. I go out of my way to park at empty areas in store parking lots but im amazed at how many times ill come out and someone is parked right next to me and theres nothing but empty spaces everywhere else. Its maddening. Ive seen plenty of videos on how to repair rock chips but im wondering if anyone has an easy way that works for them. I previously bought a small nail polish bottle sized container of color match paint off ebay and it blends in just ok. I have only really used it on the plastic bumpers where chips of pa ..read more

Plastic Chrome Door Trim - Restore or Remove?

I've finished a full detail of my GLK and the chrome door trim is the only item that is not cleaning up as well as I would like. Clay bar got it to about 60%, follow-up polish to 80%. I even tried an aggressive compound but no improvement over the polish. Autosol did not work either. It is now very shiny (but pitted?). Anyone have any success with other products or am I better off just removing the trim altogether ..read more

Wine Spill in Trunk

Greetings all, I own a 2020 AMG GT Roadster. Unfortunately I had a bottle of wine break in my trunk on Saturday. The trunk liner absorbed the liquid so nothing else was spoiled but the liner now has a highly unpleasant smell of dried wine and I'm looking for ideas on how to get deep in the nap of the fabric to get the smell out. I think the part has been discontinued at this point so this may be my only option. Thanks in advance for ideas ..read more
