I am using my R7200 router for DHCP/WiFi on a cable connection. I have a separate modem for all the other stuff. Recently I have noticed periodic events in the router log which say "internet disconnected/internet reconnected". These episodes have lasted for 1 second and up to 4 minutes. They used to happen late in the evening or overnight but the last one happened at 4 in the afternoon. The router was power cycled about a month ago but there was no change. The modem logs that I can decipher tell me nothing useful. Is this a router issue or something related to the cable ISP ..read more

I have the R7000 (AC1900) router. Bought it on ebay two years ago. It worked great for a while. Didn't have to restart for about 2-1/2 yrs. I was finally out of restart hell! (I had optimum's router before that). Then it happened once. Ok no big deal. I know that can happen on occassion. Well fast forward until the past 2-4 months and I'm back to having to restart the router every 1-2 days. I did some research and I read it can overheat so I put a mini fan next to it.. using the usb port for power. It was good for maybe a week or two. Is there any way to change how often the RAXE500 renews ip addresses on the network. I have looked for this setting and I don't see it anywhere. On the advanced tab under LAN setup there is a checkbox to use the router as the DHCP server but no settings for changing the lease time of the ip addresses ..read more

I have the 6G wifi enabled and configured on my RAXE500 router. Unfortunately I am finding that at least half of the time when I connect to it with my phone or laptop i get the message saying connected internet not available.
