Constant connectivity problems with SW and 3DExperience

Been dealing with this since I bought this system. Many periods of downtime or super slow access. I've had many messages with SWYFT and Dassault. Nothing gets resolved. I get lots and lots of annoying help ticket updates in my email, but never any actual progress. Now this weekend apparently the servers are all completely down for an upgrade. Clearly they do not know how to manage a cloud network! I should be able to launch with the desktop icon, but that has also stopped working and they have not been able to fix it. They said they would provide me with a temporary node locked license, but t ..read more

Assembling 3D scanned parts

Hello everyone, I have some 3D scanned parts of a drone that I’m trying to assemble in order to do CFD and stress analysis on. The problem I’m having is that there are no surfaces to mate anything with as it’s just a large amount of meshes. My question is, how can I go about converting these 3D scanned parts into actual parts? submitted by /u/ShanksL3Roux [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

How would you professionals out there create this feature?

I'm currently getting back into SW and practicing for my CSWP exam. Everything has been going very well. I was feeling extremely confident, blazed through creating this part as well as a variant in well under 20 minutes without a sweat. However, I get to the variant, and there's this simple little rib feature at the top of the cylindrical body. https://preview.redd.it/3l8aawrf8xwc1.png?width=413&format=png&auto=webp&s=fd2b0a1821025c6667ba2b868a2314b559f48d6e https://preview.redd.it/uzh0g6kg8xwc1.png?width=401&format=png&auto=webp&s=78217147e2aa36fded8ff26c956a679bf ..read more

Y-axis vertical to Z-axis vertical.

Changed y-axis up to z-axis up via the view orientations menu. However, all of the original sketch orientations are as if y-axis is up. Screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/BzL21zr.png I'd rather not interpret horizontal constraints as vertical constraints, and vice versa. I'd greatly appreciate any help on the matter, thank you. MACRO - Rebuild Unique Components from Assembly level (fast)

All here is my release of something that was driving me nuts as I couldn't rebuild all my components from the assembly level. At first I designed code to rebuild everything, but then i realized it was processing instances, the variation that matters is processing unique files, using pathname was the solution and cut down 2000 instances of 13 files down from 85 seconds to 14 seconds. this now properly rebuilds large assemblies (test on sub assemblies until you grow comfortable with the speed of it). I am eager for any performance improvements the community has for this. Option Explicit ' Ensu ..read more
