Been playing a residency and have been borrowing this, what I imagine is a Gibson 50’s Tribute Goldtop LP. It’s from 2016, with a ton of buckle rash and it definitely needs some work under the hood; but I’m really digging it.
Looking for more info about what it cost new in 2016? and what is a fair price for it now?

So I’ve had this guitar for about 25 years now. I bought for $300 and at the time the seller told me it was a 1970 SG Jr.
I took it into my local recently for a fret job and the luthier said it was older, probably a ‘67 or ‘68. He also told me that it used to have a Vibrola on it.
Clearly the original pick-up has been replaced, as have the tuners. So, if the pick-up, tuners and bridge are gone, is it still a Gibson SG Jr?
Regardless, it sounds killer, and I’m not interested in selling it. I’m just curious.

Hi all,
After many many many years I’m looking at buying my dream guitar. A Gibson Les Paul custom.
One thing I noticed though is that buying new I can only seem to find them with gold hardware.
I’ve always liked them better with nickel or even chrome. Not a fan of how the gold ages but I could see how people like it.
Are people swapping all the parts after to get this look? Or is it possible to buy them new with nickel or chrome?
I’ve been keeping my eye on the mod collection on Gibsons website but no luck yet.
Any help would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi. I have a 1971 ES-175D that I’d like to sell. I’d like to ask the community what a price range for selling it might be, and what the best avenues to sell it might also be. It’s in great condition, and has Gibson case.

Curious about all of the Gibsons that have been made without inlays, or with just a single inlay. I personally know of the BFG series, and the Goth series (moon/star at 12th fret)
Anyone familiar with any others?
