1971 Marshall super bass $4200

Very clean old super bass. This was a UK market amp so it still has the original lay down Dagnall T2562 power transformer and C1998 output transformer- the sought after transformer combo that was in the late 60s plexis. Old Mullard XF4’s. Sounds awesome. Non original knobs. A few non invasive mods were done by a previous owner and can be returned to stock. The mods that were done are as follows (per the previous owner I bought it from- I am NOT a tech): Channel 2 v1 coupler cap switchable... Read more ..read more

I’m trying to put together a 60’s correct wiring harness for my 2023 LP Standard. I found some black beauties on ebay but supply is kind of limited. Is there a source for these caps that maybe I don’t know about. Open to anyone that has a couple on this forum for purchase. Don’t say luxe radio ..read more

Pet doppelgängers?

My wife already had her cat Ollie when we met seven years ago. He’s black and white, just random large patches from head to toe. Not being a cat person, I never really paid that much attention before, but I started seeing black and white cats everywhere I went after that. Several times, I managed to snap a pic and text it to her and ask if she thought the random cat was related to her Ollie. I know - dad joke. But it’s what we did. Now we have Bill, an orange tabby, which I know is pretty... Read more ..read more

How much will finish fade on Historics over time?
My Les Paul Forum

I'm thinking of how the sunburst finishes from the 1950s yellowed with time. Will the modern finishes fade and yellow like that as they age? Or are there chemical differences in the finish now vs then that would prevent that from happening? (FWIW I'd be happy if the burst finish did yellow over time to look more like amber or lemon burst ..read more

Frustrations: an update about my Les Paul.

Disclaimer: I LOVE IT. I'm not shitting on it, I just have a few tiny concerns. First, the pickups are like little microphones. I know, I know, they're supposed to pick up the vibrations of the strings. But when they pick up me itching my leg, or the fan of my computer, or me putting a can on my desk, when my strings aren't vibrating- RAHHH. I would love a nice pair of Lindy Fralins or something if I had the money. Secondly, the back edges of the guitar. As far as I was aware, the back... Read more ..read more

I didn’t know it was legal to sell with a removed serial number. I’m surprised they would even take this. FS: Martin Special 16 Rosewood

Really hate to part with this one. 2021 Martin Special 16 Rosewood. This guitar is basically a HD28 with out the herringbone embellishments. It has a scalloped forward shifted X bracing, which makes this guitar a cannon. Guitar shows normal signs of use. A few superficial marks (I've included photos of each of one I could see) but nothing out of the ordinary for a 3 year old guitar. The tuners have been upgraded to Wilkinson Butterbean Tuners. Bridge Pins have been upgraded to Bob Colosi... Read more ..read more

I purchased this new in 2023. Excellent condition. Stock pickups, weight is 7.5 pounds. Comes with a stock Gibson case, which is also pictured. There is a ding on the bass side of the headstock, which is pictured. Also rubbing from the strap has work away some of the paint at the neck joint on the back of the guitar. The last two pictures document this. No buckle rash, no fret wear, very little play time. Spent most of its life in the case. Original paperwork and case candy... Read more ..read more

Our Hearts are Broken
My Les Paul Forum

After 10 wonderful years, our beautiful little boy spent his last day on earth with us today. We are beyond inconsolable. Our hearts are broken. He brought us so much happiness and joy, and he was more than just a cat to us. Long story short, kidney and liver failure took him from us. Much too soon. I'm going to take a little hiatus from life and grieve and process this with my bride. For all of you with pets... hug them a little tighter tonight ..read more
