I've noticed that the more recent '58 Historic V's and Explorers have weights listed that are pretty up there...V's around 8lbs and Explorers 9+ lbs. About a pound or so heavier than what the earlier batches were running. In my experience Korina has always tended to be a lighter weight wood, lighter than mahogany. I'm selling a fantastic old Valco-made amp, the Vega V70. This is essentially the same amp as the Supro 1695T (which is essentially the same as the 1690T Coronado--the Jimmy Page amp--but with a 15" spkr and an 8ohm output transformer) but with 7027s rather than 6L6s. It will work with 6L6s just fine, just move one wire from one pin to another. (Note, it does NOT require 7027As like many Ampegs, though you can use them.) Just a quick question about the reverb tanks on the Rose Morris Vox ac30 top boost reverb tanks circa 85-78.. does anyone have experience with how these tanks perform.. after a few months playing mine.. Ive noticed that with the reverb on full, it doesn’t really give a deep, overwhelming spring reverb.. I would’ve thought the reverb tank at full whack would’ve been very evident .. and at full, it does sound a little weak.. maybe sounds @circa 35% I read that the tanks on these models...
