I have a 2022 Prowler 303BH that I bought brand new in May of 2022. Every year we have had it properly winterized and de-winterized. Our 1st 2 years that water heater worked great. I have a 4 year old who likes to take a bath and we have never had any issues with running out of hot water. In fact in previous years I could take a shower, the wife could take a shower, and then my son could take a bath and we would never run out of hot water. For some reason this year we run out of hot water... Read more ..read more

Just got our RV out of storage, it was winterized at a local shop last November. Hooked up water hose to city water connection. Opened the bypass valves for the water heater, screwed the water heater drain plug back in. Turned water on and the electric water heater switch. Water came out of hot water side of bathroom faucet but it wasn’t hot. What am I missing ..read more

My 12 gal suburban water tank has been weeping water from the pressure / temperature valve. I replaced it with a new valve and filled the tank. As soon as it reaches full temperature, it begins to weep. What am I doing wrong? It’s driving me crazy. Thanks in advance ..read more

Hello! My wife and I recently purchase a new Heartland Sundance 255BH and I can't seem to locate the hot water bypass anywhere. It's not accessible via the front storage compartment and it's not on the backside of the hot water heater itself. Owner manual isn't much help either, unfortunately. I removed the access panel below the oven and it appears to be part of the HVAC system, so I don't think that's it either. Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you! Brian ..read more

I have a 2022 IDM223RK and the water heater does not function on shore power. After a bit of research and discussion I removed the partition and found that there is a 110V chord just hanging out down there. The water heater is the Dometic WH-6GEA and after some additional googling I realized that this is in fact the power chord and it should be plugged in. For fun I plugged it into an extension chord and an interior outlet and the the water was hot enough to burn... All of that being... Read more ..read more

I have an Atwood water heater. The nylon plug leaks. Not just a consistent drip either, it spews. I just replaced it last week & it didn’t spew for about 2 days. Now it’s a fountain again. I can’t leave my water on without creating a small pond under my rig. Suggestions ..read more

Socket size for removing heating element

Can someone tell me what size socket is needed to remove the hot water heating element? I did mine a year ago and I think it was a 1 1/2"----1/2" drive....but I slept since I replaced it. A friend at work has a 3300sk sundance like mine and asked what I used. He said his gas line was in the way. I can't remember if I had to loosen or remove my gas line or not. But if someone can chime in with any hints or tricks to refresh my memory I would appreciate it! Thanks ..read more

Hello to all. I am hoping I can find some help troubleshooting my electric water heater. I have a Prowler 22, 5th wheel camper with both Propane and electic water heating. I am presently parked in the yard on 30 amp outside 120 AC. The propane heat works fine but when I switch to electic no heating occurs. Below is a picture of the exterior compartment. I do not know what needs to be "On" or what might need to be "Reset" Presently, The small On/Off switch in the lower, left corner is... Read more ..read more
