Summertime is bringing us unusually hot weather here in the Pacific Northwest.  Even here in sun-soaked Chelan, we aren’t used to 100+ degree temperatures in late June. We are so looking forward to this month’s Lake Chelan Wine and Jazz Festival, taking place here in the Lake Chelan Wine Valley May 20 through 23, 2021. Throughout the valley, wineries host jazz performances and restaurants roll out the red carpet for incoming wine lovers and jazz aficionados. Our first impression of Mellisoni Vineyards was memorable! Mellisoni Vineyards sits high above beautiful Lake Chelan, impressively tucked above ALT Highway 97. This winery offers stunning views, smiling faces, and award-winning wines. My first visit here offered a wine tasting experience like no other because it was so unique! The Cairdeas Winery Barn is gorgeous! Shona and I recently made a wine tasting appointment at the new Cairdeas Winery tasting room in Manson, WA. We were so excited since we had been very eagerly awaiting the completion of this new building since construction had started. Throughout 2020 and 2021, we all experienced many twists, turns, and bumps in the road, and nobody understands that better than Charlie and Lacey Lybecker. Tipsy Canyon’s 2021 Summer Concert Series is here! On Thursday nights this summer, Tipsy Canyon Winery in Manson Washington (near Lake Chelan) hosts live music between 6 pm and 9:30 pm. You don’t need a ticket (but wine purchase is polite and expected) but the show is considered “sold out” when their parking lot is full. Bring a picnic blanket (and your well-behaved, leashed dog!)
