Hopefully this is the place to post two questions from a new Kefir user;-
A week ago I received a small jar containing grains of milk Kefir in a little milk, I suppose about 10cl in total which I poured into my larger "Kefirco" jar to which I added about 20cl of fresh milk and put the jar on a shelf for the night.
The next morning, after filtering the grains using the built in filter/lid on my "Kefirco" jar, I drank my first glass of Kefir and replenished the jar with milk to about the...

HI all,
I've been intermittent fasting for years. I eat in the afternoons and try to eat my final meal by 7:30 but it gets to 8or9 pm a few times/week. in the mornings I usually have water and 2or3 coffees by 12noon. I used to have milk in my coffee until a discussion in another thread reminded me that my milk was not strictly IF (this was sometime last year). so my coffees are black, no sugar.
NOW, I want to add some fresh lemon juice drops and a small piece of lemon rind to my...

I’m curious to know how people are doing on low carb for a prolonged period of time.
I’m not necessarily speaking of keto but it’s something I’m opened to trying. I’m thinking 100g net carbs or so.
My weight has crept up and although I hold it well, I don’t feel the best. Bloating and excess swelling is a thing for me, along with blood sugar issues where I’m hungry all the time and prone to large drops. My blood work is fine though. I do have a GI issue that excess fiber can cause...

Driving yesterday and after the news there was an interview with Dr Chris van tulleken, a doctor with a media presence here in the UK talking about his new book: ultra processed people.
Just as I was about the shout at the traffic to switch back to some music, he said a few things that were quite interesting so I stayed tuned in. What followed was 30 minutes of...
