We have 3 different PCs that are connected with laser cutting machines. Two machines are Win XP and other one is Win 7. They are connected with each other on 192.168.100.X network and their default gateway (router) is 192.168.100.200. This router is connected to the main Cisco switch. I have a system on Windows XP Embedded that needs to connect to a Windows 10 system for File Share. If the Windows 10 machine is on the account with the same name as the one on the XP machine, it works perfectly fine, but I need it to work on another account. It prompts a "User Credentials" window but there are no credentials and that should not pop up. Doesn't do that on the other account. How do I fix this? I need to work with an old system and copy a large number of highly variable paths for files and folders in the older MSDOS shortened file format with the tilde (~). I have 2 XP machines running vendor software.  I would like to clone both of them incase they crash I can restore them.  All the ones I could find requires a restart of the computer.  Unfortunately, restart is not an option.   Is there a way to clone XP without restarting the computer?  I'm thinking about creating XP VMs also incase they crash.   Any ideas or suggestions ..read more

I have about 40 Windows 7 PCs running Windows XP mode, in order to connect to our legacy ERP system. Owner of the company won't spend a half million dollars to upgrade the ERP so please don't ask why I'm running XP. Most were using NAT to connect to the ERP on the network. On January 14, about half decided to stop connecting to the network, and over the next few days the rest followed suit. Hi, I have to reinstall multiple old Windows XP OEM (custom-build, no brand) PCs. I find that I can only use CD/DVD-ROM to install. As the installation process requires a lot of time (DVD -> HDD), I am finding ways to reduce the time. Both of the PC has it own OEM Genuine Product Key. PID 76473-OEM-0043266-44942 My step are 1.
