I tried GrandAdmiralThralls crude hack of version 3.2.2 and I discovered that titles are not present in the tabs, and the menu bar was missing. Fortunately there is an adequate backport of version 3.3.3 for Windows XP by Barcode which you can obtain here. This is a single executable because it is the portable version, so there is no shell extension enabling previews in Explorer. This is not a big deal because I cannot remember ever using Explorer preview in version 3.1.2. I am attaching batch files that will register or unregister file extensions, right click context menus, and MIME types. Fo ..read more

I waited and waited for 5ereph to make the final build of of the XPSP3 QFE POSReady 2009 addon, and I must say I felt let down when it dawned on me that he had abandoned it. As no-one else volunteered to make the final build I decided, with some trepidation, to do it myself, and I must say it was a steep learning curve. I am not the programming type, and this kind of thing does not come naturally to me so I prefer to let other more talented people do the work for me. When I started I did not have a clue about INF files, and to make it more difficult I decided to start the final build from scra ..read more

I have downloaded the XP2ESD driver package and I must say I am impressed from what I have seen without testing them. George seems to have exploited the NTOSKRNL Emu_Extender from Github, but he has made a better job of it than I could do, even going so far as to re-write the stock INF files. I must checkout XP2ESD project at My Digital Life. I remember that my attempt to make a generic STORAHCI driver addon, was defeated by the requirement for two driver files for each package. If you think the old info would be helpful, if you can get a hold of Dietmar, https://msfn.org/board/profile/422112-dietmar/, among other locations, he might be able to figure out where that info could be found at win-raid's new location. - https://winraid.level1techs.com/ Statistics: Posted by bphlpt — Mon Jan 09, 2023 5:52 am ..read more

I tried the link at win-raid.com but it is dead and the page cannot be retrieved using the Wayback Machine. There is a possibility of using the storahci.sys driver from the Microsoft SATA driver v2.1 using the NTOSKRNL Emu_Extender from Github that provides libraries of missing functions for the Windows XP/2003/Vista/7 NTOSKRNL.EXE. No binary release has been provided, but you can obtain everything you need from the Integral Edition of Windows XP that can be obtained here. I did try to make an addon with this AHCI driver, but I could not get it to work. However it is not really necessary beca ..read more

anyway to make this where it will install on a live working xp? ESU are 224 hotfixes/22x mb, you can download and install them manually or create a simple batch but they requires 3 gb of temporal space plus the space required for the installation it self. these hotfixes are a mayor update and that implies things can go wrong. so is recommed backup/image the disc. some of then requires sse2 CPU and 1 require dualcore cpu minimal. if you are interested can point you to the download links Statistics: Posted by Universalsoul — Wed Oct 27, 2021 10:22 pm ..read more
