We normally associate summertime with international tournaments and overglorified friednliesy but this summer was anything but for the Armenians! European club competition qualifiers are in full swing with 4 Armenian clubs competing, incluidng champiosn Urartu, Pyunik, Ararat Armenia and Alashkert! Armenia wrap up the first international window of 2023 and matchday 1 of UEFA Euro 2024 Qualifiers with a 1-2 loss by Turkey and a 2-2 draw in a friendly with Cyprus. Despite the results there is a lot to be optimistic for in the future of Armenian football. The Armenia NT held 2 meaningless friendly matches against Kosovo and Albania respectively.
