How to connect a micro servo to an arduino board

A friend of mine has a market stall and I thought a display with a turntable with a few LEDs in the bottom to light up when it starts to revolve would work well here to show off some glass dogs that he sells. That's the easy bit. The actual setup is quite difficult when you put all the components on the table. I used a YouTube video to show me how to connect a PIR to an Arduino board which in turn triggers the revolving base powered by a Micro Servo that I re-configured to rotate 380 deg... Identifying a blown smd chip

Hi everyone i am relatively new to electronics as a hobby and need some help. I'm trying to identify a surface mounted chip (maybe a MOSFET) that has blown in a dab radio ive taken on as a fixing project. It is very small (at about 2mm square!) and because it blew, I am unable to identify it. On the other side of the board there was a 200 microfarad 10V capacitor which had also blown. I've purchased one of those to replace that, but the smd identification is a mystery. Would anybody have a... Identifying a blown smd chip ..read more

I have used Designspark to create a new relay board with an I2C interface, opto coupler barrier and separate power source for the relays. However I need someone to look at my design and tell me if its going to work before I make a prototype. I can't attach the schematic to this post. Regards Chris ..read more

Hello, For our profile paper at school, we are building a football robot that can participate in the RoboCup Junior. We use three motors for the drive, these motors have a 'free run' current of 300mA and a stall current of 5A. It is unlikely that the motor will draw such a high current because it is blocked, but we still want to be sure that this high current does not damage our ICs or burn them out completely. We would like to use the L298N for the engines. This has so-called sense... L298N motor driver ..read more

Hey all, Relative newbie to electronics and lighting. I’m lighting a scale model that will be capable of separating in two. When the 2 parts (A and B) are joined/connected via a 3.5mm connector, both parts will be powered by one 5v/1A power supply connected to A. When separated, the detached part B will be connected to a second power supply via a second connector (ie, not the same connector used to join it to A). Two things I need to accomplish: 1) there is a light in part A that will need... Help with circuit design ..read more

First allow me to preface this saying my experience with electronics is woefully lacking, hence my request for help on such a seemingly simple topic. My application would be a method to gain ones attention in a loud environment. Basically a simple on/off remote LED light. I know how to create the LED portion, but the actual remote mechanism is troubling me. I have purchased a set of remote tea lights from Amazon, just to experiment, but would very much appreciate advice from the... Simple remote on off LED light ..read more
