Hi,
In a dishwasher machine main board we have used 107NN0 TRIAC for controlling ac loads such as valves, pumps, dispenser, etc. In about 2 to 3 percent of products sold to customers, one of TRIACs that has a parallel RC equivalent load is half-burned (TRIAC is short-circuited in one direction) when the machine gets plugged in. Here’s the schematic of a single TRIAC on mainboard. All 8 TRIACs have the same configuration. One TRIAC has RC load and others have inductive load. Surprising point is that we couldn’t reproduce the fault in lab under different test conditions such as Surge or EFT nois ..read more

A friend is looking for someone to do layout for a 250 gigasymbol per second digital link and asked if I knew anyone with experience at that speed.
This sounds absolutely insane to me, so I pushed back and asked if they truly meant an edge rate at a quarter terahertz. Everything I’ve seen in the Gbps range uses multiple lanes and or deeper symbols to keep the symbol rate lower than 40ish.
Anyone here with experience with this crazy edge rate?
Any bets on what the real requirements will be after getting clarification?

Hello everyone, I’m writing in this section because I’ve been looking for a training section in the forum and I haven’t found one.
Guys lately I have wanted to continue studying to expand my knowledge and improve my skills in Electronics. I saw some complementary courses on the subject in a university called TECH and I was interested especially because they are online and do not have fixed schedules of study, which adapts to my needs. For this reason it would be very helpful if anyone has experience with this university or can tell me if it is worth the study material? Thank you very much.

Hi Folks, I’m Darshan Hiranandani, assembling these boards by hand and accidentally bumped them in the oven, causing two chips to rotate and bridge their leads with adjacent pads. I have a soldering iron, a T962A reflow oven, a sparkfun hot air gun, and plenty of flux. How should I proceed to rework these? Should I remove the chips and reapply them manually (considering the pitch is large enough)? Alternatively, would applying flux and running another oven cycle be effective? Or should I use a heat gun, flux, and tweezers to realign them once the solder melts?
Regards
Darshan Hiranandani

Hi everyone,
I would like to inquire information about the type of female 32-pin connector used in the I/O port shown in the picture. I have been looking for this connector for 3 weeks now without any luck. Could you help me in finding the model number of this connector. The connector is mounted on ISA DRTS64 which is an automatic relay test set (info about the product can be found in the manual on ISA DRTS64 page, but there is no info about the connector).
Thank you in advance!
