I'm not going to deep dive how the BILT program works. If you want to learn, go learn it. And no you don't need to be a renter to participate. But it helps. BILT has multiple transfer partners, just like Chase, Amex, Citi, and Cap1.   Normally when I pay rent, I use the ACH routing and account number that BILT provides me. My corporate landlord thinks I'm paying by e-check. Then BILT in turn charges my BILT credit card. I receive 1x per dollar in BILT points, all without getting hit with a processing fee.   The SUB on my Alaska card is 60,000 miles for $3000 spend.   BILT allows ..read more

So this has happened to me twice and I can't make any sense of  it   Note my credit score has been in the 650-690 range with utilization 70-80% for the last 5 years or so and 0-1 late payment depending on which report.   First Scenario    Payed my utilization down to mid 50% and scores went up to around 690.  I was in the position to pay off my first mortgage and converted my variable HELOC to a fixed real estate loan.  My total real estate loan amount decreased 30% and my HELOC which was at 90% utilization moved from revolving to real estate on my repor ..read more

It will be in the new Bradley West Terminal, which is a hell of a walk through tunnels and walkways from and to terminals like United's and Southwest. I'll just dine in a Starbucks than get an expensive Chase card.    Link:  https://thepointsguy.com/news/chase-sapphire-lounge-los-angeles ..read more

Apple Card Pioneer New Leap Era!!!

A special feature of the Apple Card is that the validity period is extended to 15 years, which is a peculiar expiration date that is a policy single to none in terms of other credit card issuers universally adapting the extended period of a maximum of 5 years.   I was surprised time had indeed passed quickly and it's reached nearly the 5-year mark since the Apple Card was introduced to the public of its inception.    The question becomes: Do all Apple Card customers replaced with a new Titanium card have a card expiration date of 15 years?    I received my replacement ..read more

I am at a crossroads right now, not knowing whether to continue paying the $150 annual fee or close it on the upcoming anniversary.   This account is almost 6 years old now, and I appreciate that it has an attached peripheral subaccount, I have a nostalgic impact on its iconic name that has been ingrained in people's minds for decades, as does the "Sign and Travel" or "Deferred Payment" plans for this card that go with the account.   When you decide to close an account, it's almost like losing a part of yourself, and that's how I feel about this credit card. I have so many cards, and ..read more

We had a lease w/ Chrysler- paid 100% on time. Turned the car in the day it was supposed to be. Apparently, the dealership didn't pay Chrysler for over 2mo, and now Chrysler has hit us with (2) 30-day late pays. They're saying they can't do anything without a 'Letter of Fault' from the dealership. The dealership is playing games and saying they have no record of the car, even tho Chrysler has confirmed they received a check FROM THEM for $23k, 2+mo after I turned the car back in. A friend of mine suggested I take them all to small claims court- and that they'll not only settle, but remove the ..read more

According to this article, Navy Federal won't help the customer because they gave the scammer their phone. If someone comes to me and says you either give me your phone or I'll kill you, they get my phone. Is Navy Federal saying your life is less important than the Navy Federal app?    Link:  https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.newsnationnow.com/us-news/military/scammers-targeting-people-with-navy-federal-app/amp ..read more
