Would you like biscuits or cornbread?
If you’re at a Cracker Barrel restaurant, the answer is yes and yes. Although my eyes and tastebuds always tend to favor the cracker barrel biscuits.
They’re slightly salty with a pillowy soft interior just waiting to be slathered in butter.
If you’re a fan of these southern style biscuits, you’re going to want to try this Cracker Barrel Biscuits Copycat Recipe.

There’s one staple item that’s always on our holiday table each year – macaroni and cheese.
My mom makes it every year and it is just to die for! It starts with a butter and flour base and after some milk, cheese, and elbow noodles are added in, this holiday side dish is just down right delicious.
Why mess with a good thing? Well, why not? I’m taking Mom’s classic mac and cheese recipe and adding a little flair and flavor to it. You won’t believe the taste of this new macaroni and cheese recipe!
So pass the rolls, it’s time to eat – holiday style!

One of our favorite family activities is driving around to see Christmas lights each year. Sometimes we stay close by and others, we’ll drive quite a ways. But the outcome is always the same – we create lasting moments with our family that we will always remember.
Now, Christmas light viewing isn’t complete without having a cup of warm hot chocolate in your hands. Before we leave the house, I’ll make my super easy homemade hot chocolate recipe. This stuff is delicious, y’all.

In the past year, I’ve worked with farmers, ranchers, vineyard owners and all sorts of people who directly work the land and animals to produce something for the public to consume. My favorite part of these adventures have been getting to know the people behind the food. A month ago I went to a cattle farm and got to hear the rancher talk about his passion for his animals, his employees, and serving quality beef to the public. It’s in these moments that it really hits home how important it is to know where your food comes from.
This week I had the amazing opportunity to visit a few farms in W ..read more

One of my favorite cakes is the pineapple upside down cake. Oh man.
It’s got a delicious fluffy cake layer with that caramelized sugar and pineapple on the bottom, so that when you flip it over, all that goodness sits right on top, making such a beautiful and delicious summer dessert.
Well, after Wonderfully Seedless Lemons sent me some of their seedless lemons to try, I knew I needed to make the next best thing – Seedless Lemon Upside Down Cake. If you can’t find seedless lemons, you can always remove the seeds yourself.
This is sure to be a new lemon dessert for your summer dessert table dur ..read more

Every Sunday, my husband and I get together and make a grocery pickup order for Monday morning. This past week, he saw that I had refrigerated biscuits on the list and said excitedly, “does this mean you’re going to make that breakfast thing?”
You see, this recipe is one that we all just love. Everyone in the family will eat it (heck, even have seconds and thirds of it), and I love that it’s super easy to make and I don’t have to stand over a hot stove cooking away all evening in order for everyone to scarf it down in seconds.

I’m going to tell you right now, when I made this for the first time for my husband, his response was, “this needs to be something we have every week.”
I guess that means it’s good, right?
When I set out to make chicken chili, it somehow tuned into this chicken soup and I’m so glad it did. It’s got a ton of flavor, protein and heartiness that’s perfect for the winter months.

In a recent poll I did on Instagram, I asked whether people preferred hot chocolate or apple cider. It was dead even. So in an effort to give the people what they want, I’m going to show you my recipes for both!
First up is this homemade apple cider. Now, don’t get scared when you see the ingredient list. It’s got a couple things you probably don’t normally buy on a consistent basis. BUT those ingredients are going to give your apple cider some serious flavor and that’s something we definitely DO want. Plus, it’s an “everything in the pot” kind of recipe, so you really can’t screw it up. I pro ..read more
