UF Medical Physics is excited to announce the appointment of Dr Stephanie Leon, Associate Professor, as the next Director of the UF Medical Physics Graduate Program, which is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs (CAMPEP). Dr Leon will assume the position effective July 1, 2024, at which time Dr Manuel Arreola, the current director, will assume the role of Assistant Director. UF Medical Physics is incredibly proud of the 2024 Richard L Morin, PhD, Fellowship in Medical Physics Awardees: Colin Schaeffer, PhD and Zahra Razi, PhD! Drs Schaeffer and Razi both graduated from the UF Medical Physics Graduate Program. Dr Schaeffer was awarded his MS in 2020, followed by his PhD in 2023. As part of our continued growth and expansion, the University of Florida’s Medical Physics Graduate Program (a concentration under Medical Sciences in the College of Medicine) is currently recruiting MS and PhD students for Fall 2024 admission.
