Hi all,
This is somewhat of a repost. First post, I messed up and said I had 48 hours for this trip in the title, resulting in a lot of "dont do it" "you're crazy". sigh
Here's the real data. I have Thursday to Sunday to get across the country. While this is still not enough time to do this trip justice, I will be taking a trip later. So for now, I'd like recommendations that take into consideration the following:
weather disruption / traffic choke points
avoiding ugly highways interstate stretches
overall, best beauty from the drivers and passenger seat positions

Last year did buffalo to seattle with stops in glacier, slc, washington coast, coure da lean and a couple other stops. Was a lot for 14 days. Gonna have about 12-14 days depending and will be leaving the night of june 23rd. What are some must dos? Gonna try and get to zion and most big parks but other lesser known stuff? We are on a trip of a lifetime and would like some tips and advice.
First the route: LA - Grand Canyon - Albuquerque - Oklahoma - Dallas - Houston - New Orleans - Memphis - Montgomery - Orlando - South Carolina - Virginia - DC - NJ/NYC
We’ll start end of May and cover the journey in just over 6 weeks with 2 kids - 9 and 3 years of age.
First up, we are an Asian family and has never been down the Deep South. I know Americans are generally very welcoming but what are some tips, advices and faux pas to avoid? (I was told to avoid talking about politics and religion ?)
How much cash should I ..read more

Hello!
I am very excited to plan a one day road trip from LV to Bryce, Zion and back. Can someone who has drove through recommend route options to cover most scenic views? Our plan is to leave early from Vegas drive through Valle of Fire state park and make our way to Zion, Bryce and back to Vegas same day.
We do not plan on doing hikes, just drive through and may be stop briefly for few clicks.
