Rear brake pad replacement

So my rear driver wheel makes an awful loud squeak. When jacked up it only takes about a half inch of movement to squeak and its loud. So my thought was to remove the caliper and pads. Then rotate as to isolate if its the pads or bearing. Problem is the bottom caliper bolt cannot be backed out because it will hit the lower control arm. It Looks like I have to remove the lower knuckle bolt and swing it upward just to remove the caliper/change pads. Anyone change rear pads? Is this... Rear brake pad replacement ..read more

Unfortunately the tat-tat-tat of the left rear CV joint keeps getting worse, I am looking at buying rear axles for a 2021 RMAX-4 1000 XTR. Anyone have knowledge or experience with either or both of these brands? Wondering which option I should go with, or if it even matters. Set of Demons would be $100 cheaper ..read more

Coming up on my first service and I had every intention of going forward with synthetic and the butters. My issue is I know my front dif probably doesn't have 30 min or 10 miles engaged as I haven't had a chance to take it anywhere and it's just been all black top miles. So now I'm contemplating if I should go syn in all but front dif and change it to syn once I know it's got some miles on it, just go dyno in all till 2nd service, or even if going dyno still change the front dif prior to 2nd... My 2020 X4 just rolled 1700 miles. We ride mostly solo on moderate to extreme dusty trail conditions. If we do ride with others, we are normally at the head of the pack. We still encounter a lot of dust passing other riders going in the other direction though. I upgraded our air filter to the Unifilter not long after we purchased the machine in spring 2020. I kid you not, my air filter and secondary pleated filter are still clean and new looking. My intake is tight, so no dirty air is... Air Filter after 1700 miles ..read more

I just had my new X4 delivered to me. If I am reading this correctly, does this already have 22 hours on it?? I never saw the unit. Dealer represented to me that this had a few hours and a few miles. Now I paid for the unit and it is at my house. If this does have 20+ miles then I am pissed. So now I need to get it serviced? Also do I have any recourse short of getting a lawyer involved ..read more
