I hosted my first ever in-person retreat - appropriately called THE RETREAT - in collaboration with my friend and bestselling author Shira Gill. It was truly a life-giving experience designed for creative lifestyle entrepreneurs seeking a reset in both their personal and professional lives. THE RETREAT took place at beautiful Los Poblanos, an organic lavender farm in New Mexico. Over the course of three days, our group of 20 women embarked on a journey of self-discovery, connection, and business growth.
Los Poblanos provided an idyllic backdrop for THE RETREAT, with its lush surroundin ..read more

I will be honest, I am not a fan of Valentine’s Day. I feel like buying and receiving a card, flowers, candy and gifts just because it is a holiday feels not genuine and extremely wasteful. I also don’t love receiving things that I don’t actually need or love. I mean, how many of the things that are gifted or received for Valentine’s Day are truly things that the recipient will use or consume? Is what you are purchasing sustainable? Can it be used for a long period of time? Or will it end up as clutter in a few weeks?
Don’t get me wrong, I do appreciate that the holiday makes you stop and thi ..read more

The turkey timer is ticking and Thanksgiving day will be here before we know it with the rest of the holidays right around the corner. It might be the most wonderful time of the year but it can also be the most stressful time of the year! There are so many details to keep track of, schedules and gifts to organize, days filled with entertaining and, for many, guests to host at home.
The very last thing I would want any of you to do this year is take on anything that will feel like just another thing on your plate or another line on your to do list. That said, with a few days left before Thanks ..read more

A few weeks ago I was invited to attend the BHG 100, A Stylemaker Experience event hosted by Better Homes & Gardens in New York City. BHG Stylemaker is an annual event but this year was extra special as it was the celebration of the magazine, Better Homes & Gardens, 100th Anniversary! What an amazing accomplishment and inspiration!
I have been invited to the BHG Stylemaker previously but the past few events were virtual so I was so excited to attend this year in person and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! Only 100 creatives and people from across the country were invited to att ..read more

Earlier this month I traveled to Cleveland, Ohio for the How To Summit - a conference for professional organizers. People came from all over the country (and world!) to learn, connect and share a sense of community. You know those opportunities and experiences that just fill your soul? Well that is exactly what my two days at HTW were like! I was honored to not only be attending such a wonderful conference but also to be invited to be one of the speakers.
The How To Summit is hosted by the amazing Brandie and Ryan of the Home Sort. There were 175 attendees and 6 truly inspiring speakers (more ..read more

Backpacks, lunch boxes, water bottles, oh my! Whether you are ready or not back to school is here! Back to school can be overwhelming as there is so much "stuff" that goes along with it but it can also be a great time to get organized and give your kids' routines a little refresh.
I don't know about you but backpacks and lunch packing always seems to be a pain point in my house. The girls always tend to want a new backpack each year and I get it! They are headed to high school this year - don't mind me crying over here in the corner, where did my babies go! - and need something new. We have a ..read more

Back to school is here! I know I know this summer has flown by and there is still summer fun left to be had but the moment the calendar switches over to August my brain starts thinking back to school. You might be surprised how much a little early[ish] preparation can help create a seamless and organized back to school season for you and your kiddos. Let's face it, back to school can be stressful - so many routines and systems tend to fall by the wayside in the summer and it can take work to get things whipped back into shape.
Earlier this year we talked about using the end of the school year ..read more

Today we are continuing our month of summer organization with all of my favorite products to help you stay organized. A lot of routines go out the window in the summer so it can feel a bit chaotic. We did it! We made it to the end of the school year! Or almost made it for some of us, my girls still have one more week of school, but then 8th grade graduation, here we come! I don't know about your family but we are READY for summer! This school year has been a lot and we are ready for those summer days, a little less routine and not [quite] so many responsibilities.
But before you pour that lemonade and dip your toes in the pool, hear me out! The end of the school year is the very best time to prepare for back to school. I know, I know, we just finished and now I want you to think about b ..read more

Thanks to Saint Valentine and let’s be honest, Hallmark, the month of love is upon us. The first thing that comes to mind when you think of February is likely conversation hearts, roses, love notes and overpriced prefixed meals. But I think why not put the month of love to use for more than just greeting card love? As you may remember, our theme for the month of January was routines. On Instagram, the newsletter and here on the blog we talked all about routines and how to implement them into your life (catch up the routines blog posts here and here). I am excited to announce that our theme fo ..read more
