NFL teams aren’t just built through the first round. Or even the top 100 picks in a given draft.
Teams are built on Day 3.
Saturday has given us Brock Purdy, George Kittle, Trey Smith and Isaih Pacheco from last year’s Super Bowl. It also gave us some GOAT named Tom Brady with pick No. 199 overall.
We all know how important it is to find talent later in the draft. This post will help you do just that.

Quarterback
Michael Pratt, Tulane
Honorable Mention: Austin Reed, Western Kentucky

Evaluating players for the NFL draft isn’t just about evaluating the tape and looking at the stats. There’s a reason the pre-draft process from January until late April is as long as the actual college football season in itself.
That’s because the art of evaluating the player is an easy, straight-forward process while the art of evaluating the person takes much longer. It’s also arguably much more important.
Players are “red-flagged” by NFL teams for a number of reasons. It could be off-field issues such as poor personal character. It could be on-field issues such as poor football character ..read more

The explosion of sports gambling across the country has opened new doors for content creators and for fans to enjoy the sport. It’s also led to many folks hoping to cash in based on instincts, intellect, or hubris when evaluating sports.
We’re no different.
Prop betting has become a fun way to add a level of investment into an event. Betting on your favorite team to win the World Series or Super Bowl gives you that much more riding on the game (of course, only ever bet what you can afford to lose). With the NFL draft, an event that could be held via a Zoom call with a press release after th ..read more

We’ve reached the time of year when every mock draft starts to look the same. And that’s sometimes for good reason as clarity is gained as to which positions and players teams are targeting.
Open any mock draft and you’ll see the Chicago Bears drafting Caleb Williams with the first overall pick. Then a collection of quarterbacks going to Washington, New England and usually a trade up involving the Cardinals or Chargers.
This mock draft is no different—and that’s because it’s based on what we’re hearing from NFL teams as the draft nears. In the final three weeks, information becomes solid an ..read more

NFL teams are able to find All-Pro performers in every round of the draft. Today we’re trying our hand at it by selecting one player with All-Pro potential from every round of the 2024 draft. But one catch: We’re not picking quarterbacks.
In 2023, non-first-rounders like Kyren Williams (Round 5), Tyreek Hill (Round 5), Amon-Ra St. Brown (Round 4), George Kittle (Round 5), Jason Kelce (Round 6) and Joe Thuney (Round 3) made the first- or second-team Associated Press All-Pro teams. And that’s just on offense.
The 2023 defensive roster had Maxx Crosby (Round 4), Chris Jones (Round 2), Justin M ..read more

Millions of guaranteed dollars were spent on Monday as the NFL’s official tampering window opened at noon eastern time. And that’s just how the Carolina Panthers spent at guard! *insert drum roll here*
Free agency coming before the draft has always been a complaint of many people, but it allows teams to check off needs with veteran players before attempting to improve the roster with incoming rookies. At least that’s the general idea.
But free agency does change the draft. And while we’re nowhere near done with even the first big wave of signings, it’s not too early to see how the initial m ..read more
