However very soon the only way your world, your supermarkets, your home doesn’t cry “my need is great and where can we get our food from” is if Africa produces enough food to feed itself and then export its surplus to you. It’s a pretty simple fact to comprehend. If there are to be 10 billion on the planet the only way the world can feed itself is to produce more tonnage per hectare across Africa. Although we all have images of African nations being famine ridden with starviation and malnutrition, (and this is currently on the increase due to lack of water and support), there are some African countries which are lush and green with an abundance of water. Liberia is o ..read more

BY DANIELLA HUNTER I had always been conscious of my own healing journey, dealing with severe health challenges in childhood, mainly affecting the lungs. I wasn’t aware of it at the time, but I was able to master the ability to drop into deep meditative states and eventually, instead of struggling for breath, become quiet and peaceful, which in turn led to less need for oxygen. Not being able to join in with many games and sports, particularly in the cold, English winters, gave me the opportunity to sit on the sidelines and observe, which is something that I attribute now to my ability ..read more

by peaceful dumpling A few weeks ago, I was asked if I would like to participate in hotelier/cookbook author/entrepreneur Daniella Hunter's 3-day New Year Restart program. Daniella started the Real Coconut as a small, beachfront restaurant within her Tulum boutique hotel in 2015. The gluten-free, grain-free, and dairy-free restaurant has since grown to a Tulum landmark, with a second location in Malibu and coconut-based allergen-free tortillas and chips found across the U.S., the U.K., and Canada. I also follow Daniella on Instagram and knew she was a passionate bird rescuer in her off hours a ..read more
