FJB Premier lost a close game on Saturday afternoon before doubling up the Mad Hatters on Sunday, while Elite swept their weekend series, their fifth win in a row: Premier: Saturday’s game saw the Jr. Blades run up a 3-0 lead in the second period before Atlanta began their comeback. ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Jr. Blades Elite team welcomes the Florida Eels to Hertz Arena for the first time this season. This will be the third time overall that these two teams have met this season, the Eels having won both games at their home rink. Jr. Blades Elite dropped the first of these two games by an 8-1 margin back in September, just two days after a four game in four day showcase event in North Carolina. Elite finished off their weekend with another seven goal performance, five different goal scorers for the Jr. Blades pacing them to a 7-2 victory over Palm Beach. The Blades were led by a trio of forwards, ,Brett Beale, ,Cole Ketola, and ,Cam Croteau, who combined for four goals and seven assists on the night. Elite started off the afternoon with a decisive 7-1 victory, an all around team effort as there were six different goal scorers for the Blades. Eric Mabie and Jordan Bustard have both signed on as Assistant Coaches through the end of the 2021-2022 season. Mabie, a native of Coral Springs, FL. is currently in his fourth season as the associate head coach with the Florida Gulf Coast University Eagles in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA).
