I got a free pair of "Koss Dyna mite M/80 Plus" speakers. While they power up and work, the foam is mostly disintegrated. I see various kits for refoaming other speakers online but none for the "Koss Dyna mite M/80 Plus." What refoaming kit should I purchase for these? Thanks a lot! (Note I have done this multiple times on many speakers, so I am familiar with the process ..read more

Hi everybody, i have a problem with a front speaker because suddenly it started buzzing and I realized that the center part (the silver circle) is dislocated as the picture shows. I tried to put it in place with my figer's pressure but it seems like it had a spring or something and it returns to be misplaced. Do you know how to repair it? I'd like to know if it can be fitted again or do i have to take it to service. Thanks a lot for you help i appreciate... Plese Help with KEF KHT 3005 misplaced speaker problem ..read more

How to Use Ringtones to Alert You to an Incoming Call

Ringtones are sounds that can be set on your phone to alert you to an incoming call. The first ringtones were electromechanically struck bells. Today, ringtones can include recordings of the original telephone bells. Whatever sound you choose, it will alert you to an incoming call. Most cell phones have a recording function. To record the ringtone you want, you can use a free audio editing program like Audacity. Once you've finished recording the ringtone, you can send it to the recipient... So the plate amp, a Dayton DSP1200 has failed and sadly, is not longer in production. Parts-Express is willing to offer a refund toward another amplifier but the closest they have is 1000w without the built in DSP, and that plate amp also requires a larger cut out. I can also go external with various options from Crown, QSC etc, or this from Dayton [URL... Plate amp failed, need to replace ..read more

I was over at a friends house talking audio, as we most often do and he mentioned he has a Pioneer RT-909 that doesn't work. With nothing to loose, I tell him I'll take a look at it. I get it home, put it on the bench and the capstan and reel motors have no power ..read more

Music Oriented Subwoofer Build

Currently I have an 8" Dayton Audio DVC subwoofer for listening to music in my room. I have decided that although that was a great super low budget build, I definitely need something with more power and range. I have narrowed my search for drivers to the Dayton Audio Ultimax 15", and the Ultimax 12". Keeping in mind that I will use this sub for music listening (75% rock, 20% electronic/dubstep, and 5% acoustic) which do you think would be better? How low does a music oriented sub need to go... Should I sell them "as-is" how to I find someone to test these to see if they work? Are they even worth selling/keeping? Thanks! ... What to do with Organ Tube Find? 44ish Tubes (untested ..read more
