reversed power supply ground and negative, corrected and that resulted in a rapid, unplanned disassembly.

I'd just send a quick note to Brian Weston at Edcor and ask him. Easier than guessing and Brian has always responded to my questions in the past.
No rush but any word?
Not yet.
Thanks.

They are both done, except for the LM3886, which I'm waiting to solder until I mount them.... on the heatsinks I don't have. I was planning to use a recycled amplifier chassis but the heatsink in it isn't long enough. I have a couple 'temporary' ones on their way that should be here this weekend.

Q1.
It seems my noise is coming from the 5.0 BT Receiver. I'm going to try ground loop isolators to see if this fixes the issue. Otherwise, I will try to fix it with the DSP using SigmaStudio and creating a noise gate.
Q2. RESOLVED
I realized I was measuring output while the speakers were connected to the output. I disconnected the speakers and played a 1k hz tone. I realized the pre amp signal needs more gain, which I temporarily fixed with my phone app and once the correct signal gain comes in, I used multimeter to measure the voltage. (V^2)/R. R is 4 ohm load which is the impedance of my s ..read more

I believe the noise is coming from the BT receiver that I'm using. I connected it directly to amp bypassing the DSP and the hiss is still there.

I have Bluetooth receiver AA-AB411 connected to DSP board AA-AP23122 with 2in-3out interface board connected to 2x100w AA-AB32971. I am using 4ohm speakers. When there is no music playing there is a high pitch noise.
Q1.
How do I get rid of that noise?
Q2.
How can I verify my 4ohm speakers are getting 100W RMS per channel?
Any information is greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
