My wife has been using the Libre 1 for a few years now. She just received the Libre 3 and started using it last night. Everything went fine until about 9am this morning. The readings went crazy. Within about a minute she went from 119 to almost 300. Then about 30 seconds later it went to 120. 30 seconds later 200. About 2 minutes later she got a low alarm that she was at 80. Called support and they said Bad Sensor. Changed the sensor and the new one is doing the same. I am using an Android... Read more ..read more

Transition from Pediatric Endocrinologist

My son who has T1D recently turned 18. I accompanied him to his first visit with a non- Pediatric Endocrinologist. I did not get a good vibe at all from this visit. I want to ask the group if this visit is normal or if we were just spoiled by his Pediatric Endocrinologist who was great. The new doctor did not test his a1C. He uses omipod/Dexcom but she didn’t have access to those numbers through the sharing portal like the old Drs office did. She had no idea what his blood sugar management... Read more ..read more

Unusual ketone patterns; exhausted and need advice

Hi all, really hoping to gain some insight here- this is my first post! My endocrinologist really doesn't seem like she's overly concerned about this. I started my new Tandem Tslim X2 pump some weeks ago, and it started off alright. The first couple of days were rough, but Control IQ made quick work of my sugars. I'm in range ~70% of the time, and never have sugars above 300 anymore. What's got me exhausted is that now I'm getting ketones... almost every day. I haven't changed my eating... Hypo unresponsiveness (HU) determination

My GP added HU to my UK medical record. He said he came to that conclusion due to the number of hypo events on the Libre. There is no guidance from NHS or NICE relating to LIbre as a HU diagnostic and there is no cause-effect relationship. However, It may affect my drivers license and life and medical insurance, etc., so... I asked my hospital DSN how she determines HU and was shown four questionnaires. She used one together with a discussion of physiological data (age, how long you've had... Read more ..read more

Hi, Bit of an odd thing here but, if I take my Lantus, my BGL for the next day do not really change from a normal day that I haven't taken it. Does this mean my body doesn't like Lantus, it doesn't need it, or chooses not to use it? I'll be honest, I haven't used it in ages as I can't see any changes, am I making myself worse by not taking it, even though my BGL are all good? Richard ..read more

Hi all. I just started the dexcom g7 and I'm facing heavy burnout. I've been looking into pumps, and I'm interested in the tslim pump. My biggest concern is low blood sugars. Im absolutely terrified of lows. But I also am so burnt out I don't want to be checking my sugars every 5 minutes to make sure they're okay. Any advice or reviews ..read more

Hoping to seek some reassurance or find out if anyone has experienced what I’m going through. I have had type 1 diabetes for 28 years. I am 35 years old. I didn’t have great control as a teen/ early adult but in my mid 20s I got on a pump and cgm. I didn’t realise but my kidney function has declined since 2021 - it’s fluctuated between GFR 76-84. My GP never raised any concerns. I have no proteinuria. I have seen a nephrologist but she has freaked me out so now I’m really worried about... Read more ..read more
