Forums:  General discussion Aloha  Is there a VM image, i currently have a hAP running and take the ports over to VLAN's on my network so i can pass the traffic to different repeater cabinets and the shack while keeping the hAP in the main network cabinet. I'm wasting 3 ports on my switch one for each VLAN and would like to use the hAP in the truck. Is it possible to load this up in VMware or virtualBox so i can use the hAP somewhere else? i figured it would be easier to add the VLANS in a VM to share my advertised services. i would assume someone on the  develo ..read more

Forums:  General discussion I have a Mikrotik  hAP ac lite  named  hap-fb  , and a  Raspberry Pi  named  rp5b1 .  I had MeshChat api 2.10 in hap-fb and apparently MeshChat 1.02 in rp5b1.   A local group uses a MeshChat zone called NTX-Chat, and the rp5b1 was configured to do that.  Trying to get ready for AREDN 3.24.4.0, I deleted the MeshChat api app from hap-fb (the AREDN node) and installed MeshChat 2.12.0_all.ipk in it.   Everything appeared to go OK.   When I looked at hap-fb Mesh Status, I saw two MeshChat zo ..read more

Forums:  General discussion I've gone through pages of the Forum, Github and the new Troubleshooting pages, to hopefully find answers, so before I go through a reflash.  I have 2 Nodes setup with the following.  Firmware 3.23.12 on Node 1 and 2  Meshchat 2.12.0 installed on Node 1  Using a Windows PC, connected to the LAN port, with no errors during installation. Both nodes can see each other, both show Meshchat on the mesh status page under services, highlighted in red. I got my hands on some free equipment, a couple of MANTBOX 15s and a RB4011iGS+ I don't find software for the last one and I'd like to use it as a router since the ManTBOX only has one port. which leads to my second question... How do I set up the MANTBOX to connect to the internet or tunnels, It doesn't seem to conntect because it sees the only eth port as LAN port. In a possibly related question the "mesh" box in the setup screen is unchecked for both my router and my LGH5 antenna. what does that mean? I do not seem to be able to change it and have it saved.
