9 year old lad passes the foundation yet I still read on forums and social media that people want a easier entry to keep the hobby alive.....Well if that is the case I'd rather see it dead.

Well I have not owned a hf kenwood for nearly 18 years and I wanted to scratch an itch so I bought a 590, I have owned a 570 in the past my last kenwood.
Really enjoying the radio and all kenwood software is free, I have coupled my sdr rsp1 up via omni rig and it's really nice with the added sdr if you want to run it with it and have a waterfall it is easy as their is a DRV port that you tap into with a simple phono connector for your sdr input.
The thing I like about it is most of the functions you need are readily available from the front panel.
