After watching a few promising looking videos on YouTube I invested in some of the 433 and 868MHz LORA boards. Long story short I found no nodes at all on either 433 or 868. I get the feeling that you either need to visit some high vantage point, or else you need to be very lucky as regards local activity. 73, Mark... Depends what equipment you're looking for mate, for used gear and brand new Yaesu hardware I'd highly recommend Dave and Amanda up here in the North East who own and run Canny Components in Gateshead. Cheers Rob. Statistics: Posted by M0XXQ — Sat Mar 30, 2024 12:56 pm ..read more

Same here. Nothing really affects me, but I might be tempted to use the "E" for this Royal Throne of Kings, this Sceptered Isle. It's only one 'dit' to me of course. Yep, very little for the FULL licence holder, I've already said, if I cant do it on 400W I'm in the wrong hobby!! The difference between 400W & 1KW is a nats cock on a S meter!! I'm not complaining, but the FL & IL have been given loads again, why would you bother to progress ?? Statistics: Posted by M0HJO — Thu Mar 21, 2024 3:11 pm ..read more

Interesting read, I do like the relaxation for NoV requirements to run Echolink Gateways etc, the allowance of the Novice/Intermediate licence holder to be able to "legally" build and operate their own gear. Anywa, for those who've not already read the document, see attached. Cheers Rob.
